The National Gulf War Resource Center is a coalition of advocates and organizations providing a resource of information, support, and referrals for all those concerned with the complexities of service in Southwest Asia including Veterans from Operations Desert Storm (ODS), Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). Especially troubling are the symptoms involving multiple body systems, which have been generically termed, Gulf War Illness or multi-symptom illness. We are also deeply concerned about traumatic brain injury (TBI) and PTSD as well.

Comments on the Military and Business Ownership...

James A Bunker served in the U S Army from 1978 to 1992 in demolition, engineering and field artillery units. During Operation Desert Storm, he was an operations officer in the Tactical Operations Center for the 4th Battalion 5th Field Artillery. In June 1992 he was medically discharged due to illnesses sustained in the Persian Gulf. His military awards include the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Reserve Commendation Medal with 3 oak leaf cluster, the Army Achievement Medal and his medals for his service in the Gulf War. For the last 17 years he has worked with grassroots organizations to provide information to veterans and veteran supporters regarding health care and claims. Jim worked to advocate for changes in VA policy and legislation to improve quality of life for veterans. In 1993 Jim began Veteran’s Information Network (VIN) which successfully lobbied to enact statutes forming the Persian Gulf Health Initiative study and advisory board.
